Social Media 04:25
Social Media Our relationship is in words I don’t know how to spell You promised me heaven And instead I’m in hell Upon reflection I couldn’t understand your inflection I started choking You claim were only joking It’s all for naught Especially if you get caught. Social media Only makes you greedier Is there a limit to the attention you crave? It’s not just you It’s everyone. Non monetary compensation Lack of contemplation There’s no time to stop and examine We’ve gotta keep on scrolling To run faster than the non stop trolling The influencers are under the influence And they got drunk on invisible power The feeling only lasts for an hour Sometimes less Sometimes it’s the best Sometimes they just needed to get it off their chest. You could almost hear their laughter If it wasn’t for their mansion walls They’re too busy to take your calls. Good morning I have a warning It’s a new day I’ve got something to say Would you even take my advice Especially when it’s not nice? The memories are better than the present It makes me bitter and I resent that We’re all trapped in our devices There’s not enough data available to measure the dangers Of engaging with strangers And going off script. They call it a meltdown Time out Sit in the corner And think of what you’ve said The truths you spoke messed with peoples heads It hurts to face it There’s nowhere to hide in the digital world There’s no way to mend fences When the sheep have burned down the farm. Pretty soon they will run out of food And they will come for you And then what will you do If you’re canceled you won’t be renewed. Maybe you’ll change your identity And then you can be free Just like me Trust me You’ll see I’m a no one And yet I have the most fun Because I don’t rely on anyone for approval Sent from your phone You knew I’d be alone So you took the opportunity to break my heart I’m sure you didn’t want to be so cruel But there was no way you’d end up on top There’s never a good time for goodbye There’s never a good time for a relationship to die You drew the first blood And you washed it down with my tears I guess I didn’t learn anything after all those years If that’s how it ends Let’s not pretend we can make things right Denial is what brought us here in the first place And accepting reality will set us free Don’t you want to be free? Before you go There’s one thing I want you to know I’ll always think of the good times instead of the bad I’ll never understand why happiness made you sad And when my heart mends one day I’ll look back and smile Because I stopped wasting my time Trying to make you see the vision of our future That resided only in my head

Conspiracy 04:12
What if I told you every day was April fools day And we were the biggest fools Regurgitated propaganda Repeat it back to me Say it enough times and It sounds true But it’s all a lie And it’s designed to make us cry And separate you and I Nobody knows why If you’d like I will try The only thing I know for sure Is that I don’t have all the answers Are you trying to turn me on? ‘Come on, you can trust me’ you say ‘I’ve never trusted anyone’ is my reply ‘I’ve done the research and the answers were written in invisible ink’ If I’ve got tunnel vision So do you That much I know is true I wasn’t in the meeting When they shared the classified documents Were you there? You seem so confident Confidence is weakness Ignorance is bliss They’re just cliches if you’re not going to dig deep What’s the definition of conspiracy Light in the center of darkness Or dark in the center of light Maybe it’s like new age spirituality Dump what doesn’t work And as for the stuff that makes sense That much you should keep If you wear a smile It’s better than the alternative It may sound glib But that’s the way I live It’s the only way to take back control For if not the bad guys have truly won No one wants that No one wants to do the work either I’m ready to get to work If there are holes in your plot Maybe you should negotiate to make them iron clad There’s lots of information dealers out there Ready to make a deal You say your eyes are open But you cannot see We were the biggest fools Regurgitated propaganda No one wants to hear A half sincere apology They know you’re only sorry because you got caught I know you didn’t mean for things to go this far But there’s no stopping the cancel machine Until they pick your bones clean You might recover one day Because people forget instead of forgive So I guess the things they wrote were true I wouldn’t change a thing if I were you Because at this point there’s nothing you can do Except wait it out If that’s the path you choose I’ll stand by your side I’ve got nothing left to lose Regurgitated Propaganda We can argue all day long It’ll feel so good to get it off our chests But give it a rest And take a seat next to me And let’s watch it all unfold I hope it’s not too late To get a great view From above Time is just a suggestion. So what do you suggest? I have some bad news The next chapter is going to be hard When evil is around every corner Watch for the happy people Know them Embrace them The way out Is inside Of all us

The way of the world The young people know nothing about the past The history books that were written are only full of facts That’s just the way of the world Dead ideas that should not be left open for interpretation The slaves are still waiting for their emancipation They are going to have to keep waiting That’s just the way of the world We were supposed to have learned from our mistakes But people didn’t do what they said And now more innocent people are dead That’s just the way of the world Everyone has switched positions The left is now the right The right is now the wrong That’s just the way of the world Many years from now when people examine the winners The times will have changed and we’ll be looked upon as sinners That’s just the way of the world There’s not a lot we can do The future is not up to me and you If it were, we’d write a happy ending That’s just the way of the world Maybe this is all just a dream And we’re going to wake up one day And not be worried about what the people from the future are going to say That’s just the way of the world If things continue on this path They will not be kind They will say we lost our minds We preached a bunch of things we didn’t practice We forgot the words after they came out of our mouths And we said it’s just the way of the world It’s not entirely our fault There was a lot of opposition we were up against And we just needed to forget Our future selves should not have to worry about regret It’s just the way of the world We should have gone to war instead Not with foreign lands But with the people that made demands That took away our freedom Telling us things we didn’t understand It’s just the way of the world

Hope 02:45
It’s time to move on Maybe not by choice But for survival I was lost I sure wasn’t going to be saved by you I was not afraid To be alone In this pavement jungle I was just sad I thought I was going mad But I was just restless And I needed to be set free I mistakenly asked you to give me the key But it wasn’t meant to be In this pavement jungle I wish I could look 5 months into the future So I’d know for sure that I’ll be alright It would make me sleep better at night But the demons would still be locked in my closet Waiting for the day when I temporarily forgot the were there Sitting in the darkness So they could stick their hooks in me In this pavement jungle Right as it was almost too late I closed the door And I escaped I can’t say I feel free But it’s the closest in a long time I’ve felt to being me My candle is almost extinguished But as long as the flame still burns I have hope In this pavement jungle Lonely is this life When you’ve lost god Let down for the very final time. Last time this happened I made the vow But I didn’t keep my word The word was love The world was hate I was told to rise above But I sunk under In this pavement jungle Words are different than actions And actions are different than intentions They went back to their lives I went back to my lies Autocorrect autotune Say goodbye You don’t always have to write a novel to tell your story You don’t always have to smile to show your scars I will always have hope In this pavement jungle

B Side 02:16
Too different for the album Not good enough for the lead single You’re still beautiful But I found you too late I’d already made plans And I can’t change them Not even for you But one thing I’d never do Is discard you I just need to figure out where you belong Because you belong somewhere Maybe here with me Maybe we have to wait and see I’m a writer not a psychic Things would be much different If the times were different But they will remain the same Even if that drives you insane At least you’re not stuck in the trash I release you Be free Underground sensation I’m glad you exist Long after everything else is forgotten They’ll still be talking about you In a world of greatest hits You’ll always be a B-Side
